SEASON OPENING: MAY 2nd 2025

Welcome back Happy Campers! We look forward to seeing our returning guests as well as meeting all our new Campers!

MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH MAY 10TH

Come celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend at AJ’s. We will serve a light brunch with baked goods, Beverages and Mom-Mosas and Mom-aritas! Come join us for this FREE event on the porch as we celebrate the Mom’s out there! Saturday,  5 /10 at 11:00 am.

CHILI COOK-OFF MAY 24TH

AJ’s Getaway’s 1st Annual Chili Cookoff! Do you make a mean chili? Are you fun and competitive? Come sign up to participate in our Inaugural Chili Cook Off! Call Machelle to register for this free event. There will be awards and prizes for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners. All guests can come get a tasting for free as we will provide cornbread and beverages. We need 5-10 contestants for this event and we will have our local Fire Chief, Battalion Chief, and 2 Sheriff Deputies and a surprise 5th judge decide WHO MAKES The BEST Chili! WARNING: Fun will be had at this event.

FATHER’S DAY JUNE 14TH

Come join us as we celebrate you Dad’s out there! We will serve Brats, Beer and Bloody Mary’s at 12:00 pm on the porch. INDEPENDENCE DAY JULY 4TH – JULY 7TH

Independence Day Parade and Events: Saturday, July 5th. Bands, Beer Garden, Food/Craft Vendors at Tall Timbers Park. Parade There is a 3 night minimum stay for this weekend. Thursday-Sunday or Friday- Monday. SUNDAY, is when the Fire Department will hose off the kiddos in the event area and when we BBQ for you!

LABOR DAY AUGUST 29TH – SEPTEMBER 1ST

We are still finalizing the BAND to play either Saturday or Sunday night for us! It’s also Jenna’s Birthday, so we will celebrate her Birthday with an Ice Cream Party! 3 night minimum for this weekend.  

AZ KIDZ EXPERIENCE – SEPTEMBER 11TH - 14TH

Camp here this weekend for a fun filled SXS weekend experience! AZ KIDZ EXPERIENCE will be here with Bands, food, cornhole tournament, poker run, vendor booths and EXCELLENT riding. While this is a free event to participate in, please support the fundraising by purchasing raffle tickets. This raises money for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Call Machelle to reserve your spot!

70S/80S NIGHT SEPTEMBER 19TH - 21ST

September 20th we are hosting our NEWLY changed 70’s/ 80’s themed night.  Last year was such a blast, we are doing it again and adding a little variety!  Dress in your 70’s/80’s best with a BEST DRESSED Contest!   Our local DJ spinning your favorite songs. Come dance and sing as we reminisce the best music ever!

Come escape the heat and have fun for the whole family. We will have games, rock painting, movies and more! We will have a schedule later in the Season.

Halloween themed weekends with movies, cookie decorating, scary storytelling and more!

OCTOBER 25TH

TRUNK OR TREAT at Tall Timbers Park. Bring the kiddos and dress in costumes for this free event! Free food, fires, hot cocoa , trunk or treating and more!
